Conferences & Professional Development

Overview

Winter Conference & Annual Meeting: This is a two-day conference, usually held in mid-February which features top notch speakers, a variety of nuts-and-bolts management sessions in breakout groups, product & service exhibits, plus great networking opportunities with your peers. The Annual Meeting is for celebrating the achievements of the past year, unveil the plans for the coming year, and honor those of our peers who have distinguished themselves in our profession.

Summer Networking Conference: Held in 2nd or 3rd week in July, this laid-back event gives you the opportunity to do some serious networking with your peers and colleagues from around the state in a relaxed no-pressure environment.  This is also a great opportunity to discover valuable products & services provided by the conference sponsors.  Learn from others – and share with others – about successes in member-investor recruitment & retention, new revenue ideas that work, branding & marketing your chamber, software & technology issues, and much more!

Tri-State Conference: 2011 will be the first year Ohio will participate in this event with Indiana and Kentucky chamber executive associations. These three great states will come together in the fall for a 3 day conference full of great speakers, educational workshops and invaluable networking opportunities. This event will be biennial and will take the place of that year's Summer Networking Conference when held.

Board Leadership Conference: This is usually a one-day event held in the fall of each year. Executives are encouraged to bring their board chair or other board member to the event for an interactive workshop geared towards strengthening the communication and effectiveness of the board-executive relationship.
